This past weekend, I learned a valuable lesson: Do not go to the Creamery when you are hungry or lacking a list of specific items to pick up! On Saturday night I decided to make brownies for the girls I visit teach. I went to the Creamery with the intent to get a couple boxes of brownie mix and nothing more. But because I hadn't really had much dinner, I ended up getting brownie mix, soup, some frozen food, and various snack items. Luckily I had the funds to purchase all of my food, but I felt silly when I unpacked my groceries and found out I was missing two essential items for my brownies! I had been so focused on finding other satisfying foods that I forgot the things I initially meant to buy! I had to go back and get the items I needed, and made sure to choose another line than the one I had been in ten minutes earlier. I went back to the Creamery today with a list, and found it much easier to control my urge to buy unnecessary items. It's pretty crazy how our subconscious takes over when left unchecked!

That's funny! I always get more than I need when I shop too, unless I have my list.
Good point, you're learning how to be an adult. :) A shopping list does really help combat impulse buys. I have gone to a store before and forgotten really important things, it's so annoying.
I totally relate! Who wants to buy things you NEED? Its so much more fun to just wander the store looking at everything, or buy something tasty. :)
Oh man that always happens to me! Whenever I go hungry, I come back with the weirdest food ever, and never anthing i really need like milk! oh well :)
