Rhetorical Conference

So basically, Conference = amazement (as usual). I had the great pleasure of attending the Sunday morning session, it was an experience like no other! While I very much enjoyed being in the company of so many General Authorities, I think my favorite session was the Saturday afternoon one. I was the only one in my apartment, and I was able to kick back with some soup and my notebook and let the enlightenment wash over me. My favorite talk was probably Joseph B. Wirthlin, but Jeffrey R. Holland's was an extremely close second, and I thought it was very appropriate that they spoke back to back. Elder Wirthlin's talk about handling adversity evoked so many emotions, to see him encouraging us while his situation is less than desirable made me want to be a better person, his ethos was overwhelming. The fact that he's been through so much and lived so much life attributes to his pathos, and his logos simply comes from being an Apostle of the Lord. Overall, probably one of my favorite Conference talks ever.

Come what may, and love it.

The "come what may and love it" was a really great quote. While it is not easy to love everything that comes your way, it is important to keep in mind that our hardships shape us and make us stronger. I also got to enjoy a hot meal while watching conference, what a great feeling.

I was also at the Sunday morning conference and it is just a whole different experience actually being there and feeling their God given authority. We are so blessed to have living prophets.
